Senior Congress Leader & JKPCC delegate from Nowshera Shri Som Raj Heer passed away today morning at GMC Jammu, after brief illness

Former Working President of District Congress Rajouri, Shri Heer was presently Congress President Nowshera. He was a prominent Dalit Leader who selflessly represented the cause of down trodden class throughout his life. He was also former head of the Ravidass Sabha în the district and involved în various social and religious activities în the district.

Master Heer was a dedicated social worker and always stood with the poor and downtrodden. He was Party delegate from Nowshera and did cast his vote în the Congress President elections on Oct 17 this month , despite ailing health .

Senior JKPCC Leadership has expressed deep shock over the demise of Master Som Raj Heer and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family.

JKPCC President Shri Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Shri Ramân Bhalla, Former Ministers Shri Mula Ram, Yogesh Sawhney, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Former Dy Chairman Jk legislative council Jhangir Mir, Th Manmohan Singh, Shah Nawaz Chaudhary and several others conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family.

Mr. Ravinder Sharma Former MLC and senior Congress Leader described Master Heer a? a dedicated social and political leader who was messiah of poor and oppressed and suffered a lot în his struggle for the down trodden.

His contributions to the society and the Congress party shall always be remembered. His death is a great personal loss to me and the society, said Mr. Sharma, expressing his deep grief over his sad demise.

The entire rank and file of the Congress party în District Rajouri expressed deep sympathies with the family and prayed for peace ?o the departed soul.
